The
Apollo missions to the Moon led to the Skylab orbital workshop program
and the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. These programs were NASA’s first
firm steps in establishing an extended human presence in space and cooperating
internationally in space exploration. As such, these outgrowths of Apollo
paved the way for future human spaceflight efforts. |
